The Changing Face of Library Instruction

Despite librarian efforts to promote library instruction beyond the “one shot”, it still remains the most prevalent means of contact with students and faculty. With the increasing demands for library sessions and the abundance of information requested to be covered during these sessions, how can librarians meet the needs of students and provide quality instruction at the same time?
End the struggle of trying to cover an huge amounts of material during a one shot instruction session. Discover what it really means to flip your classroom. Design or restructure an existing lesson that can be flipped, develop a marketing strategy to promote the flipped classroom to your faculty and practice using screencast-o-matic to assist in flipping your class.
Learning outcomes:
1. Participants will design or revise lesson using the flipped classroom model
2. Participants will practice using screencast-o-matic to create learning experience for their flipped classroom experience.
3. Participants will brainstorm a marketing strategy to promote flipped classroom to their faculty.
